"NA’s Dragon Breath, Cypress, Organic Cardamom, Incense, Vanilla, Sweet Cinnamon Bark, Egyptian Musk and Red Amber."
In the bottle, the first impression is of musk and dragon's breath. One could imagine a slumbering beast with tendrils of smoke floating from the nostrils as it quietly snores. But you can't tiptoe around this one. As soon as you apply, the monster wakes, and the fragrance bursts into a fiery red amber. It's truly amazing. Now the throw is fantastic! The longer I wear it the more the spices come out; first the cardamon, then the dry cinnamon bark, as the dragon is fully roused. After a mesmerizing display of power, this dragon settles back for another nap, with only the hint of a smokey incense left in its wake. Billed as a "smoke and fire" dragon, the scent journey completes that image perfectly. _________________ "Not bad for an Egyptian slave."
I love this dragon. She is everything I had hoped and nothing I feared. I thought with my chemistry's penchant for amping cardamom and cinnamon to screeching levels until I smell like I dumped a spice cabinet on myself. Nahkti doesn't do that. She is smokey, and incense, and amber. That beautiful lovely NA amber. The spices are so well blended and so well behaved I didn't even get any sting from irritation. This is a formidable dragon, as Laurie says, when she is wakened, you can't miss her. But she is lovely and sophisticated. Absolutely gorgeous. I hope that Nahkti is going to become a permanent part of the dragon house. I want to wear her when I am needing the dragon of smoke and darkness. Rawwrrr.
Nakhti-amun is the blend that killed my willpower after lurking for too long (TempestTeapot's to blame for the initial lurking).
She (and the smell does come off as a she to me) starts very smoky and green. It's as if I'm sitting on moss next to a fire on a sunny day. Then the amber and spice comes out and it's nightfall and the shadows come out to play. Unlike some other companies, NA amber is playing very nicely with my skin and the spices make this a wonderful blend. I'm very glad I bought a bottle.
I actually put this on over a bath scrub that didn't work out (too much cedar, ack, mothballs) and it morphed the too woody into smoky goodness so I could sleep last night without taking another shower!

Nakhti Amun
In bottle: dark incense and nag champa-and even a whisper of smoke.
On skin: at first I wonder why I smell vetiver here, but then suddenly out pops the cardamom! And the cinnamon! Mmm, this is smoky and spicy and lovely. There is something very vetiver-ish to this, maybe the dragon’s breath? I tend to get vetiver in smoky scents from other brands so maybe there’s some tucked into the smoky note here. I also smell beautiful spices and an incense note that’s a cross between Mummy’s Revenge’s nag champa and the fabulous incense in Immortal. And there’s a wonderful sweet creamy vanilla that comes out to smooth out all the notes. Eventually this winds up smelling a bit like Immortal (one of my favourite NA scents ever) with added spicy vanilla! And I love that! The amber rounds the scent off perfectly and adds that lovely resinous sweetness to it all. The drydown is the most gorgeous vanilla incense scent ever, warm and smoky and smouldering and sweet, with a gorgeous spiciness. And the drydown of creamy spiced vanilla, amber and cardamom is to die for. If this first Shadow Dragon scent smells so good, I can’t wait to see what the others are like!

Oh, very shadowy indeed. And, very, very Dragon.
Wet this is a rich, bold incense.
Once it starts to settle down I smell the cardamom and the cinnamon with a touch of smoke. I am also reminded of a sweeter version of Mummy’s Revenge.
It smells like something warm and earthy and very complex. In the end it gets slightly sweeter. Another one that morphs throughout the entire day. Sometimes its spiced fire, sometimes it's sweet smoke.
This is definitely a sultry and exotic dragon! Cannot wait for the rest of them!

Wow this is one firebreathing dragon! Sharp and smoky to the max. It's definatly a deeper darker scent for sure! I agree with moontessa that I smell the moss. It's like fireplace here...sitting next to a mossy tree there.
But I think this one is a little too much for me. _________________

This review refers to the FEx addition, with the NAlloy Shimmer of bronze and added incense oil.
Bottle: Cinnamon, dragon's blood, I think?, and something sweet.
Me: The cinnamon is here, but it's not overwhelming or "Big Red Gum" in any way. It's nicely blended with the resins and musk, and it all comes together to make a warm, slightly smoky, scent. I wasn't sure I would like this one on my skin when I originally smelled it, because it did seem VERY bold and overpowering. But it's not. It's subtler, all of the scents working together to form this rich, warm, red scent with just a hint of spices and sweet.
Later: After awhile, the incense amps up to heighten the smokiness of this oil -- again, smoky notes tend to put me off, but this isn't like that. It's subtle incense weaving through the rest of the blend.
Later still: This eventually ends up as sweet incense, and is VERY long lasting! I put it on before going to bed, and could still smell it on me when I woke up the next morning. Glad I bought a bottle of this. _________________

LE Version:
Soft green cypress incense then the cinnamon, dry and smoldering, a smokey sweet undercurrent. Thick with vanilla & cinnamon, slowly cardamom emerges, the curls of smoke become long tendrils of exotic incense. I really like this shadow dragon.
