African Musk, Evening Primrose, Benzoin, Egyptian Vanilla Musk, Lavender from RA's 'expensive' box and the kiss of a beautiful Goddess.

Soft floral lavender, powdery, nuances of woods and deep benzoin. The floral calms and the oil becomes spicey, still soft, still powdery, still lovely. Egyptian Vanilla Musk & African Musk are laced with lavender hazily drifting together from my wrist. A luscious feminine curve of smoke, delicate, mysterious, strong yet vunerable. The scent lingers on, the two musks become the light remnants of an incense filled room.

Lovely incense! I can imagine the goddess demanding this to burn in all of her temples. It's sweet, with a faint floral, but a surprising smokey incense. Really wonderful! On my arm, the floral comes out even more -- oh is this beautiful! I think I smell mint to a small extent mixing with the lavender and vanilla. The musk is faint, but there. It must be the two musks that are making it smell incensy. I love the way it morphs from the bottle to my skin. It's hard to say if this is feminine or masculine because there are aspects to both in it. I suggest not limiting yourself by categorizing it. It really is like a kiss, just subtle and beautiful! I am definitely glad I got a bottle of this!!!

Beautiful! *swoons in bliss*

Once again, another NA blend has made a liar out of me. Wink
Lavender is one of those herbs that I adore, but alas – as a perfume note on my skin, it does not adore me and gives me a raging headache.

This is happily NOT the case with GoE: Isis. This fragrance is blissful! On me, it’s mostly a lavender/musk – I'm guessing it's maybe the benzoin that give it a smoky incense throw. Occasionally I get a tease of an herbal note – but it’s not a green herbal, it’s more of a fresh herbal - and very, very slight just around the edges.
GoE: Isis is light and airy, but also warm and the very perfect lavender musk.

This is really lovely, backup bottle worthy! Sparkle Hearts

Wow, this is a smooth, exotic, well-blended scent!

It starts out with a gentle hint of fresh lavender and dewy primrose (just a touch, not intense or dominant as these florals tend to be), and it has a clean, almost soapy feel to it. Then, as it starts to settle into the skin, the other notes warm up and dance into the mix. The musks and resins are so deep (yet still tastefully shy somehow), that I almost smell clove - but not quite. The vanilla musk (which reminds me of Eternal Egypt, my homeboy NA) is luscious and creamy and perfectly balances all the other notes, tying them all together.

I am fascinated by this perfume, it's quite lovely! A wonderful example of RA's unique perfume style. Did I mention the gorgeous musks?

Catalog: This one is very hard to pin down! It's sweet.
Me: I get a very sweet, vanilla, creamy scent from this, with a bit of floral. I think I need a bottle of this!
Later: I'm still getting a very creamy note, with a slight hint of the floral and the lavender. This is really pretty. It's floral without being generic, overpowering flowers. I'm not sure where I'm getting the creaminess from, but the throw on this is just so beautiful.

Gold of Egypt Isis
In bottle: no lavender? This smells like strawberries for some reason. Sweet and fruity.
On skin: now I smell some lavender, but the strawberry note is still there. But it’s not a cloying strawberry, rather a lovely sophisticated one like Sah’s strawberry note. I also smell something floral, the primrose probably, a hint of light skin musk, as well as vanilla and lavender. And what a gorgeous lavender-vanilla combination! The lavender is musky and sensual and it goes really nicely with the lavender (btw the lavender is very soft here, much gentler than, say, Lapiz Moon). And over it all is that scent of strawberries and pink spun sugar and musk. So pretty! Very comforting, this one will be used a lot as a sleep scent I think. The scent loses that sugary/strawberry note and becomes very musky. Vanilla and musk with a hint of lavender, benzoin adding a touch of amber-like incense, and a light musk very similar to Egyptian musk, but with something a little more skin-like and sensual, even rather sexy, about it. But there’s also a wonderful softness which evokes white feathers or white scented bed linens (but it doesn’t smell at all like linen or laundry). This scent makes me feel so soothed, the scented equivalent of being cradled in gentle warm wings-which to me is the depiction of Isis that resonates the most with me, the motherly wings of the goddess, protective and nurturing. This scent evokes those wings beautifully, especially at drydown. Absolutely beautiful!

Wet, sharp herbaceous Lavender engaged in an embrace with earthy African Musk, juxtaposing prim with primal. As quickly as the oil dries the Lavender submits to resinous Benzoin incense, then couples with Egyptian Vanilla Musk as the torrid becomes finally tame. A sweet musky haze of afterglow.

This is a fitting tribute to Isis, and with her wings adorning the bottle, it's one of the few in the "gold" series that I can identify on sight. I love the blend, it's soothing and sweet and makes me feel just a little but more powerful when I wear it. So glad I got this one!
