Solar Egypt: Ankh

Postby SaphyRyan » Mon Nov 09, 2009 2:58 pm

White and Black Cedar, African Musk, Egyptian Red and White Musk, Balanese Oak, California Redwood, and the crispness of falling leaves around your spirit as the seasons breathe in and then sleep for the months to come.

This is the Scent of the Sun of Egypt harmonizing the middle and the heart of the fall season. Within the Solar Egypt:Ankh (SEANKH) Skillfully blended in parts of resin and light to create harmony and balance and a scent unique to NA.

I have really enjoyed all six of the Solar Egypt scents and I understand how much thought went into each of them. Solar Egypt Ankh is so tranquil of a scent to end the year in. I feel so at peace and yet full of energy wearing this. The cedars blend with the oak and sweet redwood and all the musks are so sultry and still I could wear this meditating or wearing this along with Meditation with the gods or some of my favorite oils like the general scent of Ankh. This is a really nice layering oil blend but alone it is really beautiful. Thank you NA for all of the solar egypt scents. I really like how they look next to eachother as well as knowing I will be grabbing these and wearing them as I now associate them in terms of months. This is the november and december scent for peace and harmony and energizing yourself especially knowing the hectic part of the holidays is about to come. Woods are soft scents and yet they feel like they are strong. NA does amazing stuff with their cedar and redwood and in this blend the woods are more haunting and serve the purpose of the Ankh.

Wow, I don't think I can follow Saphy Ryan's review with any such eloquence. This is indeed a beautiful and tranquil scent. It brings peace so badly needed this time of year, yet it is energizing. This isn't a "woody" scent to my nose. It is not "masculine" it is a unisex scent. Again a masterpiece of blending. I can't tell individual notes. It all blends into a smooth, gorgeous scent which I think would blend wonderfully with some of the other Solar line. It is almost creamy and rich but not in a foody way. The musk is I think what makes it creamy and blends all the woods together so they don't smell like a wooden box or pencil shavings. This is so wonderful. Really, you need this one if you haven't picked one up, do!

This blend conveys the same purity and tranquility as Nokturne and Nokturne2, and mirrors some of their scent qualities: cool, sweet, a little dry but soft. Gentle and as SR describes, "haunting," but as a pleasantly sentimental daydream.

Rivals N: Diamond for perfection! Bravissimi, NA!
